Enrollment for the 2026–2027 school year is now open.
Current active students — including returning Preschool and Preschool advancing to Kindergarten Students, Students with Special Services or transportation only, and students in Grades K–11 — should enroll through their Parent PowerSchool Account (nwcs.powerschool.com).
New students must complete the New Student Enrollment Form and will then receive instructions to create a Parent PowerSchool Account for future use (grades (HS/MS), attendance, lunch balance, etc.).
Out-of-district students must also submit the Annual Transfer Agreement.
Also, once all of your students are added to your Powerschool Parent Account, open the My School Bucks icon in the left menu on your Powerschool Parent Account to receive supply or fee invoices and make payments easily.
For assistance, please contact the office of the school your student will attend.

Transportation Update for 2026-2027
Possible LES and OES School Day Change!!! Currently, there is a gap of 20 to 30 minutes for bus drivers between their NHS/NMS AM drop-off and the start of their AM elementary routes. We can eliminate this gap in the morning by starting our school day for LES/OES 15 minutes earlier. It does not change the end time, because the NHS/NMS school day is already 20 minutes longer than the LES/OES school day. The new LES/OES school day for the 2026-27 school year would be to 8:45a to 3:30p. We are still having conversations with our LES/OES staff regarding the logistics of adding 15 minutes to the school day. If parents have any questions or concerns about the additional 15 minutes for LES/OES, please contact Superintendent Springer. A final decision for this change will be made and communicated to parents by April 22nd.
For the 2026-27 school year, we will continue to provide separate bus routes for middle school/high school students and elementary students. Students' 2026-27 bus routes will be available in late July for families to review within the StopFinder app. Any changes to families' transportation needs (now or later) should be communicated to our transportation department as soon as possible to ensure accurate transportation services.

Employee Spotlight-- 2025-26 TAG Stipend Awardees |
This year's Teacher Appreciation Grant included new limits that allowed only 20% of teaching staff to receive a stipend--24 educators at Norwell Community Schools.
A TAG (Teacher Appreciation Grant) Committee of teaching staff and administrators created an application process and scoring rubric. Teaching staff could apply individually or as a team. Overall, 24 applications were submitted, representing 77 teachers. Using the scoring rubric, the School Board reviewed all submissions and selected the recipients.
Congratulations to this year's awardees! We are grateful for the hard work and dedication ALL our staff provides educating our students!

Town Hall and Coffee Chat Discussions
Parents and Community Members had the opportunity to attend "Coffee Chats" or "Town Hall" sessions with Superintendent Springer in February and March. There were some great discussions during these meetings. Topics included: homeschool enrollment requirements for participation in NHS extracurricular activities; 1:1 devices at the K-1 grade levels as well as synchronous eLearning for these grades; communication apps used by extracurricular groups; NMS/NHS grading period differences; school financing; technology within education; increasing/enhancing programs; among other discussions.
For the 2026-27 school year, in an effort to engage more parents, we would like to start the Norwell Parent Advisory Group. The goal of the group is for parents to provide their perspectives/ideas on potential improvement initiatives, current/future programming, and overall school budget priorities. To help us identify optimal meeting options that would maximize parent participation, please complete this short 3-question survey.
